Grandma Lisa’s Humming, Buzzing, Chirping Garden is a beautiful children’s
picture book that clearly communicates the importance of removing invasives,
planting natives, and nurturing nature in our home habitats. Grandma Lisa moves
to a new home that has a traditional landscape. There is not a bee or butterfly in
sight… Grandma guides the children to create a habitat that attracts and supports
wildlife.
I highly recommend this book because it has a strong “call to action” message
and will inspire your children and grandchildren to create a native plant habitat.
You will not want to give this book to your children until you find a supply of native
plants! The illustrations clearly communicate the beauty of native plants.
This book is available at the following Lafayette Parish Library Branches: East
