We Educate

Here in Southwest Louisiana we are especially proud of our heritage, and our natural heritage is no exception. We have special ecosystems in our prairies, bayous and wetlands, and understanding the foundation of each of them, the plants, helps us better protect our natural resources.

Below are the many ways in which we educate - ourselves, as well as our friends, family, and neighbors.

Our regular public meeting is often a visit to an inspiring landscaping. We invite a speaker with expertise and passion to help us all bring nature home.

We organize hands-on workshops with experienced native gardeners to coach you in small groups to produce a design and plant list for your project.

We are happy to speak to your group! Contact us and we can match the speaker to your audience.

Look for our table at local events related to gardening and the environment! We often have seed or plant giveaways.

Are you an educator?

Professional educators in ANPP help schools and teachers with curriculum and projects, like the Broadmoor Elementary PTO’s schoolwide Native Seed Ball Project. Let us know if we can help you modify these resources for your project.

Follow us on Facebook or get on our email list to get up to the minute details about ANPP events and opportunities from our sister organizations around the state.
