Sean Hettich - Bronze Louisiana Certified Habitat

ANPP congratulates Sean Hettich for his bronze-certified habitat at his real estate office in Lafayette. After Sean replaced some of his conventional beds with natives at his home, he decided do likewise to his office. With the help of LJ Delcambre of Cajun Native Plants in Abbeville, Sean put in many native species in several beds in front of the office. With some native volunteers on the back of the property, he surpassed what is needed for bronze certification, and he and LJ are already talking about what will go in when the nandinas come out! He wanted to get the certified habitat sign for the office as soon as the plants were established so that they would invite curiosity. He hopes that his real estate clients and neighbor businesses will be inspired to consider alternatives to the nonnatives that are now the norm in that business park.

And while we were at it, we certified an upgrade to Silver at his home!
