Tonya Walton - Gold Louisiana Certified Habitat

ree

ANPP congratulates Tonya Walton in the Freetown neighborhood in Lafayette for

her gold certified habitat! Tonya is a Master Gardener and it shows. In the two

years since she's been there, she has removed many camphor trees, cast iron

plants, and other invasives and continues to replace them with natives. Her beds

have been thoughtfully designed and spaced after consultation with Bill Fontenot

and a strong back of The Native Ninja. The backyard is playspace for her and the

neighbor's dogs. Her plants have come from Master Gardeners, ANPP, and The

Urban Naturalist. She has added several bubbling fountains and water baths

.

Thanks for greauxing native!
