Lisa and Mitchell Lopez - Bronze Louisiana Certified Habitat

Lisa and Mitchell Lopez live in a traditional subdivision, and their place originally

had little to no landscaping. A brother-in-law introduced them to his own native

habitat in his backyard, and they were inspired to do something similar. With the

help of a horticulturist that their brother-in-law recommended, they now have a

completely new back yard and many new native plant additions to the front as

well. Lisa and Mitchell both like a lot of color in both their front garden and back

yard, so they now have a mixture of native and non-native plants. They recognize

the importance of native plants as habitat and they want to attract bees,

butterflies, dragonflies, hummingbirds, and other wildlife.

Congratulations on a beautiful and life giving change! Thank you for greauxing native, Lisa and Mitchell!
