Jamie Harson and Blake Aillet - Gold Level Louisiana Certified - Duson

ANPP congratulates Jamie Harson and Blake Aillet for their gold certified habitat

in Duson in Lafayette Parish!

For almost twenty years, Jamie has been farming this family land. The front few

acres have many maintained beds with native wildflowers and shrubs, more

added this year and many that have volunteered. Other beds grow fruits and

vegetables that Jamie can use at her restaurant, Scratch Kitchen. She has

planted numerous native and fruit trees over the years, and she and Blake have

added dozens of new natives now that they are scaling back livestock production.

The property is 18 acres in total, with a new hydroponic greenhouse and

untended woods in the back.
