HOW TO RID YOUR YARD OF MOSQUITOES WITHOUT HARMING POLLINATORS

A Mosquito Bucket is designed to lure and then kill mosquito larvae
with MOSQUITO DUNKS, which contain Bacillus thuringiensis
israelensis. Guided by the instructions, you place grass clippings and
dead leaves in a bucket of water to ferment until you see mosquito
larvae, which for me took about 4-5 days. At that point, place one dunk
in the bucket; each dunk lasts about one month. Prevent creatures
from falling into the bucket and drowning by covering it with a screen
and a weight, which holds the screen in place. I keep my bucket in the
corner of the yard near the compost bins. It is important to make
certain that the mosquito bucket is the only source of water. I also
place dunks in my rain barrels and bird baths. Mosquito Dunks are
available locally at your favorite hardware or garden store and online. I
placed a Mosquito Bucket in my yard in Lafayette just over a year ago
and have found it to be effective.
