Gayvonne Mauldin - Bronze Louisiana Certified Habitat

ANPP congratulates Gayvonne Mauldin of Historic Washington LA in St. Landry Parish for her Bronze Certified Natural Habitat!

Gayvonne and Tim's property is on an acre in town, and they have reduced lawn with raised beds to add diversity and space for growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Gayvonne began identifying what came up and was reminded of her mother's reliance on Audubon guides for plants that came up in her yard in California growing up. Gayvonne has been adding native plants from Doug Young's nursery, swaps, and passalongs from neighbors, Maypop Jill, and from Acadiana Native Plant Project sales.
