ANPP congratulates Ann and Nel on their bronze-level certified habitat!
Their garden is located on the side of an old house behind a small supermarket in a small town. It has various edible plants (non-natives) in raised beds. The garden is also home to young fruit trees and a very old oak, blackberry, blueberry, red mulberry, and muscadine grapevine. Azaleas, irises, Indian blanket, and various natives were bought from ANPP and The Urban Naturalist.
Worm Lady Recycles LLC. amended the already rich soil and worked had to transform what was a neglected yard into a growing garden of edible and decorative plants, including a small prairie area devoted to natives.
Thank you for greauxing native!
