Congratulations to Nadine Melancon for her upgraded Gold Certified Habitat.

Located in suburban Lafayette, she continues to add new species and allow others to grow in her garden oasis. She says, “While living on this property we have had floods, tropical storms, drought, high heat, hard freezes and loss of habitat in the surrounding areas. The native plants continue to prove their hardiness through all of the changing conditions. Even though my part of town has developed into city way more than I would like, I try my best to provide a little oasis for wildlife".
