June Walker Educational Center Open January 2021

The Little White House is functional again. Over time, with lots of generous and strong folks, the little white house on the property next to the greenhouse is now usable, safe, clean, secure and pleasant. We will be able to do much more now that it has gotten a good scrub, a toilet and paint. We thank Neil Burgard for getting the roof patched, carpentry and security fixes, to Wendell Carroll, Pete Griffard and Lawrence Rozas for various stages of electrical, plumbing and septic installation, to Karen Sellers for scraping and painting the interior walls, to Karen Sellers and Phyllis Griffard for pressure washing the floor, to Michele Hudelot for metal shelves and Neil Burgard for getting them useable for June Walker's book collection, and to Tommy Guidry and Janet Wing for signs and coat hanger. We are ready to be together again as soon as it is safe. A special thank you to Billy Welch at the Ira Nelson Horticultural Center at UL Lafayette, who housed June Walker's book collection until we had a good place for them.
