Gonzales family - Bronze Louisiana Certified Habitat

Congratulations on a Bronze Certification! The Gonzales family lives in an

established traditional subdivision near downtown Lafayette. When they moved

into their home years ago, the mature live oak and southern magnolia were the

anchors for the property. After a few years of observing the property, they enlisted

the help of Bill Fontenot to guide their landscaping. He helped them foster a

sense of stewardship although when two kids came into the picture, their plans

derailed for a while. Now the children are grown and Diane and Doug are

regrouping and ready to create a home for wildlife and the next generation.
