Gabby and Logan Fignar - Gold Louisiana Certified Habitat

Gabby and Logan Fignar secured a Gold Certification in Lake Charles! The

original plant list that we received had them at silver, but upon inspection, we

found that they were, in fact, golden! Logan and Gabby bought their house in in

Central Lake Charles in October of 2022, and started removing monocultures of

bamboo and Indian Shot along their fence line soon after. In the past few years,

they have sourced plants from growers, seeds, and the wild to create a lively

garden all around their backyard. This year, in addition to endless additions of

plants, they added a small pond, mosquitofish, and aquatic plants. They have a

wide variety of plants with staggered blooms to provide an urban oasis for bugs

and birds.
