Congratulations to L. Leo Judice Elementary School in Scott for their bronze-certified habitat!

Environmental Science teacher Paula Guidry has led the effort to bring or revive gardens at the school. Not only have they planted pollinator and native wildflower gardens, they also grow vegetables with the Lafayette Parish Master Gardeners Association and have a nursery from the LSU Coastal Roots program where they grow native prairie grasses and wildflowers for restorations. ANPP volunteers Louise Prejean and Phyllis Baudoin Griffard assisted with their planting field trip recently. Volunteers with Parish Proud spruced up some of the gardens and added many potted plants containing diverse native wildflowers.

Thanks for Greauxing Native, Paula and L. Leo Judice Elementary!
